For those who have them on order. Any news when they are to be shipped as of yet? I have a set on order, haven't called them but curious if anyone else has touched base with them yet for a status update?
no email yet - still says shipment comes in dec1 on website :shruggy:
I enquired on the 1st Dec - they said hopefully they will ship in a couple of weeks.
Well we have 2 feet of snow so I'm not in a huge rush. Would like to have a set though to see if they clear my RMS front end with the Wilwoods. Fingers crossed they clear.
Just got a reply from Year One. 17" Rally Wheels are delayed till first part of January. Dang.
For those who pre-ordered 17" Rally wheels, they ship out today!!!!!

dangina, they look great! Can wait to see rubber mounted on them and all installed! :drool5: :drool5: :2thumbs:

Very nice.
Can you give me a measurement of the diameter of the center hub hole? I hope it is at least 2 7/8" so it will clear my Wilwoods. Thx man. Appreciate it.

my post from yesterday:
good news everybody - went and weighed them at the station today - it says 10kg or 22 lbs, take it with a grain of salt - i don't know the accuracy of it
I went to the old mans house and he had a 72+ center and it fits perfect even the holes on the back match up

then went to a buddy of mines house and he had a 71 center - its a little sunk but everything still matches and lines up

WOOOOOW... I HAVE TO ADMIT IT... I LIKE!
It looks WAAAAY BETTER than the Foose "Rallyes"!!!!
I'l just will polish the area where the cutouts refects like it has a polished rim trim!
now they are on my wish list! ( side to side with the Centerlines 915s vintage )

Agree, plus 1/3" the price probably. Can't wait to see it on the ground with some rubber on them.
Wow! I'm not a fan of YO or modern aftermarket wheels but I think I'm going to price a set of those, they couldn't look better.
Sheldon
My RR definitely needs a set. Just need someone to take my Telstars off my hands first.

I hope the 1/3" of the price wil include the outrageous prices YR1 usually charges LOL
( editing... 4 rims, without caps are priced on $800!!! need to add the special lug nuts! AWESOME!!!!, what I don't get is why they say something about some spacers requeried for later caps )
BTW, it seems to me looks better with the later center caps ? it sit flush with the rim depression. the mexican hat looks deeper into the rim :shruggy:

Perfect. They should clear my front end then. Fingers crossed I have them by Thursday!

You should buy my Magnums off me. I'd part with them already wrapped in rubber too!

If you are in the US, then yeah it would cost an arm & leg, but in Canada if you are near Edmonton you could pick them up!

Have brand new caps sitting on my shelf. They have been waiting for a set of these!
Rubber mounted. 295/45R17 Mickey Thompson Street Drag Radial in the back on 17x9"
Nitto 255/50R17 555 on a 17x8 for the front. Only about 1/2" difference in height. Once the rear of my car settles a bit more, the stance should be perfect!

Cannot see the pictures for some reason? Can someone copy and post to this thread? Thx.
Here are a couple of the pics of the guys Challenger from the Cuda-Challenger thread....
Tire sizes as quoted from the thread
"Front: 245/40-17 - A fraction of an inch shorter than the current 195/75-14
Rear: 275/40-17 - A fraction taller...."
That makes me :drool5:

The wheels look good, nice looking charger too.
:2thumbs: Looks great! Cool car.
Looks great, how much clearance do you have between your tire and rear springs with the 295 m/ts'. I was considering those as well for my 71 charger but went for 8 inch rims all round with NT555 255/50zr17 nitto's. My car sometimes sees a bit of rain and I was a little scared to run a drag radial and didn't want to run a SUV tire like a Nitto 450 or a Falken in a 275.

Lot's of later model hot rod daily drivers (ie Mustangs, Camaros, Trans Ams) are running those SUV tires. :2thumbs: Plus they are liked by many of the buyers for their wet weather performance. :shruggy:
double post
Hm-mm, the 450's might be OK, to be honest I'm not sure and I would have prefer ed a larger tire. I was told that the Falken's have trouble hooking in the dry and the 450's can be noisy that's why I went with the NT555's, I'm sure there would be no issues with wet traction with either the 450's or the Falken's.

Give me a few weeks and I will let you know on the dry traction.. :smilielol: Even though they are said to be good in the wet, I hope to never get caught out in the rain with my car. Takes to long to get it all cleaned up again. :brickwall: Plus I may not be able to hear the tires over the 440 w/ TTI's.... :shruggy:

Probably 3/4" to the spring. Lots of room.
Looks much better than the magnums. :Twocents:
Great 3rd gen. :2thumbs:
Definitely like the extra side wall on the rear, both cars look great. Personal thing I guess but 17" rims with 40 series tires on a Charger are just to small for me, although I like them on a Cuda.

amazing how natural 295 looks on 3rd gen, it doesnt look like a drag car.
I'd have to see those wheels on something else, don't think I could run em.. They certainly lend themselves well to the 3rd gens tho'! I love that plum car, park next to me anytime.

I have an RMS front end. Not sure on a stock front end. The RMS won't clear a 9" only because of the design of this rim. The inside of the rim is only about 16" I am guessing it is to add strength because it is cast. A true 17" would clear easy though.
If anyone puts or has plans to put these on a 2nd generation, I would be interested in seeing a picture, so please post.
They look great on the 3rd generation chargers
