Title: Operation Charger 500 come and gone:
Post by: hemi68charger on February 15, 2019, 02:28:45 PM
Operation Charger 500 come and gone:
Well, writing another chapter in my Mopar-life.. Although the time was short, the ride was fun.. Changing my paradigm in thinking about the next car.  Will sell this and the Road Runner to have the cash to pounce on the next car without having to sell a current one or two. History has shown when one does that, the car of interest gets sold before the cars to BE sold are.. So, changing things up. Still have the Daytona..

Nice one Troy!

We are only the 'current' keepers of our TOYS, hopefully others will treasure them as much as we do (did)? :pity: :pity: :pity:

Too many CARS, not enough time or money... :scratchchin: :scratchchin: :scratchchin:

What did you find that made you want to sell?   :scratchchin:

Congrats on the sale Troy ! Glad someone snatched it up and I can stop thinking about it now! Good thing you're 2500 miles away or it may have been in my garage a while ago.

Is the car going to an end user...enthusiast? What part of the country is it headed? I was also 'thinking' your car would have looked good up here in Minnesota!  :2thumbs:

I have towed plenty a Charger with our former 2006 Durango.. Did an ok job.. Not as good as my truck, but got us where we needed to go without issue....

Its just something that Bodywork guys (like me) notice :scratchchin:
If you have ever fitted a new repop valance corner you will know they is junk!!! :brickwall:
So cheaty peeps just weld them on 'as-is' and fill them in... :slap:

Proper bodywork peeps, cut and splice them, :hack: so they fit nicely and if we see them filled in we HOLLER... :buff:

Hey I know there is more important stuff in the World to worry about, like Brexit, Pakistan/India, dare I say the Russians but, Right is Right,,,RIGHT... ::) ::) ::)

Nope.. It is a pet-peeve of mine too and it I had kept the T5 C500, I would have taken it somewhere to have it fixed... I loath that too........ And, yes there are other things in the world to contemplate and reflect on......... But, if you're going to do it, do it right.......... <<< I know I know.......... Not everyone knows what is "right".......  :icon_smile_big:
