Now this I like.
I couldn't ask for better options.
I'd throw some decals on her and go drivin' :2thumbs:

Now that's a cool car, period............
incredible car
I don't see too many options other than the very large air horn in front of the radiator
Bryan :D
HUMMMM - interesting So What Do you Think That car Will Bring in today's market

i doubt that with a hemi
I can't see it bringing any more than that considering it needs a full resto and those aren't free. If someone wanted it to leave as-is I can see it fetching top dollar but I don't see that happening.
:coolgleamA: :drool5: nice , yep leave it as is & drive it :drive: ,
had paint work , & bondo in driver side rear quarter by the looks of it the looks of it , looking by the bondo worms in side , looks like it was done few decades ago :yesnod: :popcrn:

Ha, I saw that too, wonder if it still works :D
Console 4 speed and in a less common EK2 it appears... good enough for me :2thumbs:
Interior looks decent. Are those the correct seats though?
Should have started his opening lower, don't think he's going to get any action starting at $125K.
I could definitely see it going for that at least. Hemi 4spd Superbirds with matching drivetrains don't grow on trees . :Twocents:
yup hemi , 4speed , numbers matching someone will grab this one up and love it :yesnod: :yesnod:

whats the point of leaving it alone?
Its obviously been through the ringer and then repainted...It wasn't RESTORED! Its not a survivor....it simply survived!!!!!!!!
Im so over the leave it alone mentality! Its not like it rolled out of a climate controlled museum.
Maybe Troy-trade material?
What I mean by leave it alone, is make sure it's mechanically sound, stop any rot from continuing, get all the goodies to function properly and drive it.
Not a full blown resto.

PERSONALLY , i like them in that state , they are aleast a great conversation piece . I love seeing them driven and out and about just like that . I cant afford it either way but if i could swing it there is no way i could restore it right away . I would clean a few things up and drive the hell out of it :Twocents:

Well, as you said, the Superbird IS the poor mans wing car. :smilielol: Actually, most of us with wing cars really ARE poor. :nana:
Back to the car. There is chum in the water. The thought of being able to step up to a "cheap" Hemi Superbird is appealing. Just about everyone wants to get in on the low end. Add it all up. Hemi + stick + good color + buckets + reasonable price = a car that will sell.

yup and cheap to join that very rare club and a 4 speed car to boot
Did the estate have two of them to sell?
Hearing that the estate has a couple hundred cars, but only one Superbird.
Starting to creep up, $151,100.
Just under 2 days to go.
Dave
I wondered because the ad describes it as the "other" Superbird.
my ebay experience says that the truly serious buyers won't bid until the last few seconds. leading with two days to go, is pointless.

I was watching it too. High bidder had a couple of backup bids so it could have went for more. Having said that it will be interesting to find out if it actually sold or it will be relisted.
Dave
Fair price I think for what it is , and in current condition.
If the new owner puts $100K into it, $250K for a number's matching hemi 4 speed Superbird in a great color is in the price range seen during recent auctions.

I agree... That car has a LOT of potential and will be a great solid ride once done...... Makes me wanna put a 426 Hemi in mine........ :2thumbs:

he says it needs all the rear sheet metal quqrters , floor pans , and evn the doors were gone
he also said the hemi ran barely and it smoked horribly

I saw this at american muscle car restorations this weekend while picking mine up, it's going to get a full restoration, they were doing detailed photo documentation when i was there. the back seat looks different than any i have seen. the car was really survivor condition with a older 70's repaint.
Just for fun, put a ballpark on a restoration cost for the car? :popcrn:
