Title: exhaust tips
Post by: Fred on November 12, 2018, 12:31:55 AM
Would appreciate some help.
I want to purchase tips for 2 1/2" exhaust system for a 68 charger.
The outlet should measure 4 1/4" x 1 3/4"
Does anyone know where I can get the genuine/original and correct size tips?

Genuine and original size was 2 1/4" all the 2 1/2 ones I see are stainless instead of chrome.

I think Accurate Exhaust has the best looking original tips, they have them in chrome and stainless steel. I have a complete TTi stainless steel system on mine without tips, but If I was to install them, they would come from Accurate.

I have TTI on my Charger and they are very nice, although I have heard of some fitment issues if you do not have the TTI exhaust. http://www.ttiexhaust.com/MoparClassics-Accessories/ExhaustTips.htm#rec

I have Accurate on my '69 Plymouth and they are also really nice. I would say you will be happy with either choice.

I like the Accurate stainless.  They look and attach like stock ones. Stainless is a plus.

I put a pair of Accurate tips on mine lasy year, with repo hangers from them as well.  It was a nice and easy install.  Like Butter.
