Title: Converting from 3 prong headlights to two prong

Hello. Have new headlights, originally for a BMW installed. And Painless wiring. Anyone done the conversion from the old 3 prong to two before? Why do the stock lamps need 3 inputs?

Low beam, Hi beam, common.

Ahh, ok. So both lamps on each side have low and high beams? My new lamps are separate, only high beam on the inner lamps. I`ll just separate the two cables then.

Outers are low and highs filaments into the same housing. Inners are just highs. The common is ground
