Title: brake light wire
Post by: pancho13 on November 05, 2007, 08:45:57 PM

Is the brake wire that comes in from the firewall spliced into two wires?
I had to clip the wire when I removed my dash; I marked the single wire coming form the firewall, but now I can't find the wire it's connected to!

pic will be helpfull but I can make a description I think:

Black wire plugged on prop valve is on harness, with a splice in the line with female spade terminal just for test purpouse. Then is routed to brake warning light cluster throught bulkhead and running into tapped harness.

That same wire does have a splice INTO the bulkhead, on  female terminal that runs to the emergency brake switch. That it means the warning light is oin when you have emerghency brake pressed and when you have a brake fluid pression fail.

thats the only wire coming in to can from firewall to some brake related. Inside cab AS PART OF UNDERDASH HARNESS only arrives to emergency brake switch with bullet terminal, and is part of cluster socket ( if rallye cluster ) or part of multipin conector ( if standart )
