My Brother and I are several years into the restoration of our 68, with the best part of the last 2 years being in the body-shop.
Painting has begun and we hope to get it home very soon to start re-assembly .......................... will be powered by a 440/6 pack.
Doing somewhat of a Bullitt clone which will be a rare car down in Australia.
Will post a couple of progress pics from our last visit ............ The car has received a ton of new metal including both rear qtrs., trunk pan, fender, and many patch panels.
Do it once do it right !!
hood in primer
gloss black engine bay
new rear qtrs., starting from bare metal .............
Looking good....keep it up. :2thumbs:
Its come a long way since we imported it back around 2012 ......................... looked quite tidy to start with, but a bit of digging found the usual rust issues.
Here it is from back then with a test fit of the plates ...........
Welcome, Looks great!! Need more pictures!
Pat
bodywork has been drawn out over a few years for a variety of reasons ................. shipping replacement sheet metal from the US to OZ, lack of funds, car sitting in Panel shop etc ...
A selection of pics from the last few years as the bodywork was being sorted.
