Title: Expensive Daytona Replica - No Plug
Post by: Old Moparz on June 03, 2006, 11:31:36 AM
This one is on ebay right now at $51,100 with a few hours left. It looks okay to me, (definitely not perfect) but the one thing I was surprised about, is that for as much as the price is there is no rear window plug.

I've got the fiberglass plug with the package of parts I bought, but never anticipated to use it since I didn't want to do all that work for something I was never crazy about. I like the hemi 4 speed part the best, that could be a lot of fun.

you should use your plug. that car with the Hemi. would be over 60k with the plug in it. plus it looks more correct.  just my two cents.  :Twocents:

Boy they really hammered that guy in the questions section.  And he was always polite about it,  that told me one thing, the listing is probably legit.  Most fake sellers will hammer you right back.  Anyways, that is a nice looking car! I'd live to drive around in that machine.
wonder what the reserve is and I think by the looks of it, it was worth close to $50.

This car has been on ebay many times. He has the car listed for 115k on his website. I'm assuming that was his reserve.

Pretty scary that a 383 2bbl auto 1970 Charger can hit over 50K because it has a wing and nose on it. Almost makes me want to do it to my car, because a basic '70 R/T could never bring that kind of money.

If Chris decides to "upgrade" that Charger of his, let me know if you need any help. I have tools too & I can pick up a bottle on the way, I'm only 45 minutes from Paramus so it's an easy ride.  :D

Probably half the people buying those cars don't know it's supposed to have a plug.
