That's one 2 cars in my area I told him about I knew the guy who had them bought in 75 68 hemi charger and 440 white superbird.Owner had me inspect number s.Be we sought out Mark GYC for estimate or selling the pair Which went down $120;K for the pair
So what is being done with the 68 Charger. Is it being restored or is it going to be sold?
The 68 charger RT 426 hemi 4 speed no console aroun.d 38 K original miles perfect trunk and underside. He bought in 1975.Story I knew off it sat someone broke into garage removed the hemi heads. He later got the original heads back. After that car was moved and sharing garage with his Superbird.Till after many years gone called emailed to talk to him
But after the first garage break in.He didn't discuss the cars. But we stayed in touch. And he let me know that he might sell but wanted a resto figure. So I put him onto Mark Worman AKA GYC
My initial contact to GYC about these cars
I think it has some old school repairs.I haven't seen something brazed in a while

Hey great move. Turn these over to the mopar goof with a TV show instead of a real mopar enthusiast. :shruggy:
Pair sold very quickly I had asked local Mopar people
And posted pics no takers at $120 K
so worman/ gyc is now in the flipping business. how nice.

Either that or he told the customer he'd have over $200K into it when it was done!

true. better for all involved if he does just flip it, lol
He never even said thanks for hooking him up .No decal no swag nada.I didnt take anything off the seller. But volunterred to clean out the garage of excess mopar accumulation. Which I hauled over to Tony Mopar and got paid
When you get to 'big fish ' status, deals like the one you presented evidently become everyday business. Trust me, that being said, I'm not defending the lack of appreciation for being handed some SWEET cars! I have found myself as of late, keeping MUM about things I know and hear about so the vultures aren't able to just swoop in!
Got say he does get back to you I messaged about the superbird.Said it was clients decision

Congrats. Keep us up to speed on this one. Are you going to have the GYC team do the car, or a self project? It would be a fun one to put back together if they done the bodywork, just for their pedigree maybe. :popcrn:
Great news glad to see this car from my town getting done

Thanks! I'll keep updating when restoration starts, It's going to be a while, :coolgleamA: I will be saving a little first.

Thanks, I've read most of your discussion from 9/02/12 about the Superbird. I have made contact with Mike about his grandfather owning the Superbird. I haven't contacted Ed yet. I appreciated all of the knowledge you have provided about the car in this forum. I'm glad there are people like you that care about these cars. If you could give me Ed's email and phone the number that would be great or any other pictures. Thanks again, Al
I will look for it .Yes Mike searched for me to find the hemi superbird. And I found it and buildsheet got reunited to it
