Title: Oil Dip Stick
Post by: john108 on June 19, 2019, 07:52:38 PM
440 engine with the following components.

Mancini   MRE884KIT   Oil Pan and Pick-up (HEMI)(6 Qt.)
Summit   DCC-5007345   Windage Tray - 4.15 Stroker & 2 Gaskets

Will the original dip stick work because I think I only care about the TOP level of the OIL.
I would think it would be in the same place even though the pan holds more oil.

If not, please help me understand.

you would be correct,
BUT,
Some people run a deep pan with same oil quantity to get the oil level farther down away from the crank ( to help prevent oil foaming )
Others want the added oil quantity .

myself a  stock 6 qt pan is enough
