I just bought this car. We spent several hours going through the car validating it's originality, including putting it on a lift. Not quite the 100% virgin that it was presented as, but a damn fine original vehicle. It took me over 40 years to reach my goal, but I finally got a Superbird!
hello & Welcome congratulations :yesnod:  :2thumbs:
Congrats and welcome to the madness ! :2thumbs: :yesnod:
What did you find that wasn't quite as advertised?
A known car from way, way back. Two brothers in Ohio had Birds, and this one was bought by their dad after he caught the bug. It was a nice clean car.
Congrats. It's a great feeling.

What did you find that wasn't quite as advertised?
Well, for the record, Matt at Harwood Motors was a pleasure to work with! But with that being said we were expecting a virgin, unmolested car. Upon inspection we found that the nose has been off of the car and repainted at some point. An electronic ignition had been added to the car and some of the wiring has been cut/spliced. The ballast resistor was missing. And the car was advertised as rust free and there is a section of cancer under the passenger side door that may need some attention. But overall it is a very clean and original car. I'm working right now to track down some previous owner history and I have their contact info. I want to try to document as much of this car's history as I can. It's obviously been very well cared for. I'm honored to be the new caretaker for it. My plans for the car are to preserve it the best that I can and as/if I find things that need to be fixed I want to utilize only NOS parts.
This car reminds of me of Sharon Malcoms car
Wonder if there fleet is still together,,,doubt it
That's great that you were able to secure a bird for yourself after so long. A clean one too in my favorite color.
