Na,,, I talked to the owner.. Pretty nice guy... But, since it's a divorce, he needs to liquidate...... :(

As things progress with my hemi '68, I'll rethink things... We'll see how things go........... I'm finishing up things on the engine now... Got my dampner and timing chain cover out from the attic and finishing up with the camshaft.. I even found my original hemi distributor hold-down !!!! Those puppies don't grow on trees...........

Oh, and Paul, man, you're red '68's lookin' good !!!!!!   :2thumbs:

Chris said that is the only B5 daytona he has in the registry? I'll have to do some digging, I know I have info on a few more.

Same in Michigan...

Except if you own the car before marriage, and sell it after, the assets become "marital," and the ex gets half.  Even if you own car "A" prior, then later sell to buy car "B" for less money than you sold car "A" for, all of car "B" becomes a "marital" asset.  And then you lose half of that, and half of everything else, and then some more!

Moral of story...

Either don't get married, or don't get divorced!

Hey 65Post does that B5 car you posted have B5 blue interior as well? And is a 4 speed car?

I've been trying for years to find my dads old B5 blue, blue interior, 4 speed car he sold in 1985. No luck so far, but only have been able to find 2 other B5 blue, with blue interior 4 speed cars. Neither was the one he had.

I can`t remember if this one is a stick or auto.I talked to this guy a couple of years ago and he told me he got it from someone in the states who had 4 or 5 daytonas when he bought this one.He bought it unrestored and had it restored here in Quebec. He told me he wished it was some other color than blue because he did not like the B5 ! I don`t have the guys name but it is a regular at the local car shows so the next time I see him I will get more info.Do you Know the vin # of your dads old DC ?

Okay this is going out on a limb, but what kind of a condition was the B5 car when he purchased it? When my dad sold the B5 car he also had an R6 Daytona, R4 Daytona, and a F6 green Daytona. He sold them all within a few weeks of each other. Could possibly be it.

This is what the B5 car looked like when my dad sold it.

Second shot is of it in the garage next to the R4 red Daytona.

I don't have any information as far as the VIN or anything like that. If I did it would be a lot easier to try to track down some of the unique cars my dad used to own. So far I can only say I have found out where 1 of his old Daytona's is, and both of his 69 500's. I have no clue where the other 4 Daytona's are, nor the 2 Superbirds he had.

Man your dad sure had a FULL house.I can only imagine what it looked like around your house.I will be sure to get some more info on the DC B5 as soon as I can.

Well they weren't at all of the same time, other than the Daytona's. He had them all at once. The Superbirds came and went in trades to get to another Daytona. The HEMI 500 was sold to buy their house, and the other 500 was sold because it wasn't a Daytona.

As NascarXX29 said the above B5 car was owned by David Patik.  I talked to the current owner when the above pics were taken at Moparfest here in Ontario 2 years ago.  Really nice guy.  Can't remember the VIN offhand though.  Perhaps if you contact David he would be able to help you out 69_C500.

So does anyone know if it is a 4 speed car or an AT? The only reason I'd like to see it is if it was possibly my dad's old car. Which if it was it would have to be a 4 speed car.

Im sure its a automatic car .Those many project cars are ones dave saved from being scrapped .And had held onto in storage for many years from the 70-s.If you recall when GG had a MCG ad selling a few project daytonas. Those were daves cars.As the blue one was Daves car.Vin ends in 584

I see, well then I know it isn't the one I was hoping for either, as it was a 4 speed car.

Still a gorgeous car either way. Just doesn't happen to be one that my dad used to own. I'm still hoping to track down the rest of his cars one of these days.
