Title: Original color of the fan motor from the engine compartment on a 69

I have seen the above painted black and some painted silver which I believe were originally zinc dichromate. What is original when a 69 left the Hamtramck plant?

So you are talking about an A/C car that has the fan motor through the firewall ?
I have only seen them black

Yes. Mine was black before I restored my car and it looked like it was original but was not for sure since I have seen some silver.

My 69 had an unmolested A/C system when I bought it - motor was black

Mine is zinc silver color
