IIRC, one of our club members' orginal owner Road Runner was in a Adam 12 show about street racing. Could have been other show. Owner passed away a few years ago
He was a members of an orginal Road Runner Club that used to cruise Van Nuys Blvd. back in the day.

Dave we gotta hire you at the shop for digging this stuff up...
I edited the writeup with this new information (and also edited it for factuality.)
Is Ed Ryan still around? the boss added that we'd fly him out for a reunion with the car at our shop...
Pettybird Im curious to if Ed Ryan is still around today .It would make a interesting wingcar newsletter article how he and his car got on Adam -12 in the first place .As he gets reunited with his old car after all these years. That Adam -12 Daytona thing always bugged me .And I had to get to the bottom of it.I cant thank Jim enough for giving me the info .Which sent me off searching as I did recall a newsletter mentioning a blacked out nose .which I found in July 1975 .Its a hobby of mine .I even go as far as hitting library microfilm and compiling actual muscle car ads. From the actual selling dealers

if i had a couple extra days I'd head to Indiana to see if I can find the ads for my birds. I have the pre purchase inspection form and warranty car for my petty car so I know the time frame it was there... Don Strotz Chrysler Plymouth in Ft. Wayne. The B5 car came from BWA in Bloomington IN according to the dealer tag on the back.
one place is now a factory and the second is a day care...

Just have to say, that '69 Road Runner is F5 Sherwood green and not F8. Just had to make that correction. ~Steve~
Pic of the Road Runner and the Daytona in this thread, not to mention Fat Charlie. :icon_smile_big:

While at the moment I can't show a picture of a Fender Tag to prove otherwise, I did find a sheet in the factory's Sales Code Manual for 1969 "E" Series that shows paint code F8 (Dark Green Metallic, Color Number AY2EF8) as available for all car lines... Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler & Imperial. That would include A, B, C bodies and whatever you call an Imperial besides huge. :P
According to the same document F5 Medium Green Metallic was available on everything but an Imperial, and F6 Bright Green Metallic was supposedly available on Dodge A&B Bodies only. Seems to me I remember seeing 1969 F6 RoadRunners, but perhaps I'm mistaken... Maybe that was 99 Rallye Green?
Barry Washington and/or Doug (69CoronetRT) probably know the answer to this without looking it up.
