SO I wanted to find the buildsheet for my '74 Charger. I looked under the carpet, under the seats (front and back), behind the plastic seatbacks and even under the tarpaper.
Where else might I find this elusive documentation ? (spent too much time on it already)
Under the rear seat bottom is the most common place I have found them. I have heard to check these locations but, never actually found one in any.
1) Above headliner
2) Behind glovebox
3) Above gas tank(how they could survive here I will never understand)
4) Under the carpet
On 68's I have only found them under the carpet under the drivers seat. Also behind the vertical back seat in the springs. I have not seen them under the bottom back seat.

Here is where my mine was in my 73

Thats the drivers side rear seat (bottom, not the back).

What was left of my '68 buildsheet was under the rear seat bottom...I will have to check under the front bucket as it still has the original carpet.
Dad's '65 Coronet 500 did have one in the vertical seat back.
Both my build sheets (72 and 73) were underneath the rear seat (up in the springs like the photo above).
I just starting to do a restore on an original 68 rt charger all numbers match and lucky me i found my build sheet underneath the back Set on the drivers side  Wow could not believe it was still there.
I'll post some pick of prograss soon.
Charge on!!!
