Hi Went to the world premiere of the new movie CARS and they did a good job on the animated superbird [The King] in it and it has a lot of air time. so Good movie to go see when it comes to theaters. Most People should like it.
You went to the World premier? Pretty cool. I've been trying to get some advanced screening passes to view it here in Indy.
My son is looking forward to seeing the movie. Every day he asks me if its out yet.

i'm going to toys r us today to get a couple of those cars today. Rene
I heard they premiered it at the race this weekend. Up here in MI, we will have to wait until June 9 (like the rest of the civilized world). Those Pixar movies keep getting better and better. (I think Pixar made this one!)
I brought this topic up a few weeks ago and except for one response from Strat (I guess he goes by Brock Sampson now ???) all I heard was crickets. Maybe wing car guys don't think animated caricatures of their rides is funny. :icon_smile_blackeye: What a bunch of grumpy elitists! ;)

Oh yea, I forgot half the nation has ADHD now days. ;D Unless maybe I got too wound up or didn't pay attention long enough.
i posted on the superbird two mos ago...
noone responded as i recall...
Definately looking forward to the movie. Can't wait until it comes out. I personally think that it will be the highest grossing animated film of all time.
I am so there dudes!!! :icon_smile_big:
I've already bought a bunch of the toys.
I've thought about pitching the idea of renting out my car to our local movie theater. The kids would probably freak out when they came out of the movie!!! :o
Ah don't rent it to the theater, just take it and park out front. :) That way you can stand by your car at all times.

You still stand there if you rent it to them. I sure would.
Yeah but is everything in this world meant to be a means to make money? Do it for the kids and just show up with the car. It would put a smile on the kids faces as well as the happy dads that are there to see the movie too.

Well,..... well, ah... your name isn't as cool as Sunroofsuperbird is it. :nutkick:
cool
Isn't McDonalds supposed to be hawking a bunch of Cars toys with the kids meals right now too?
I've been waiting to see which fast food chain has the Cars toys when the movie comes out. I'm guessing it will be McD's but not positive.
I'm certain that last week my 9 year old was reading the "watch for our next exciting toy..." on the bottom of her Happy Meal bag last week and that she read out Cars. That could be a Canada only thing too though.
As an update, my wife just walked in the door with Happy Meals for the kids and the bags definitely say the next promotional toy is for Cars.
I'll be watching for that for sure now. Thanks Ghoste.
Great, we're all going to look like this in a few months.
there's a white superbird in that movie. it just drives by while he's walking down the street. :yesnod:
Bull, don't you know by now that when you buy Happy Meals for the kids, you just hand them the toy and throw the food in the garbage? We shouldn't have to gain any weight.
Throw the food in the garbage? Your kidding right. The weight problem that people have in this country isn't the fast food, its the amount that they eat. Everything is okay in moderation. Just because they offer a Double Quarter Pounder, and you can get extra cheese on it, and super size the fries and a drink doesn't mean you have to. No one is forcing you to eat all that food. Okay that is enough of my rant for today.
If you can think of a way to get my kids to eat it (short of starving them for a fe days first), I'm all ears. Most of our Happy Meal purchases end up in the garbage. I'll still end up buying one for the Superbird though.
I've i give up. i've looked all over for the little blue superbird . I'm gonna get one off of ebay. paying shipping doubles the price. Rene
Cool pic! :icon_smile_big:
Right on. I'm planning on seeing that movie, looks cool.
Hey Rene, you found one, huh?
I got these at Safeway in the video rental section.
i bid on one on ebay. i'm gonna pass by blockbuster today, maybe they got one there. thanks Rene
