Title: Plastic chrome plating
Post by: 66FBCharger on June 27, 2018, 07:08:28 AM
Who does chroming of plastic parts? Mr G's used to do it, but apparently doesn't do it anymore. I want to have my original armrest bases replated. Yes I know I can buy repro armrest bases, but I want my originals redone. They are perfect, except the worn plating.

That is surprising they just did some bases for me within the last year I want to say.

Bill at Special T's used to do it several years ago.   He's located near Chicago.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.
I ended up using Instrument Specialties in Rhode Island.

I don't know who Mike uses for the plating, but if anyone has anything at Advanced plating, it may be gone, rather nasty fire! today

Ugh! I hope he doesn't use Advanced plating. I believe my parts are due back any time now.
