Title: I drove a HEMI Superbird today!
Post by: Wingnut426 on June 11, 2012, 03:34:11 PM
O.K., no big deal, I drive my Hemi 'Bird all the time.  To my surprise there is an EV2 Black bench auto. on the column Hemi Bird 15 miles from my house!  The person that owns it was complaining to his mechanic that the car was too slow.  The Mechanic heard about me and called to see if I could figure out why the car was so slow. I drove it about 1/4 mile and I new right away it had no gear to it. We put it on the lift and it has a 3:23 open rear!  Also the secondary carb wasn't opening up all the way.  The car is
restored with 17K miles on it. Radio delete.

Are they going to do something about the gear or leave it as is now that the mystery is solved?

That car was on Ebay back in 2003.   I don't know anything before or after that.

I'm sure it had a 3.55:1 in it at one time, but someone probably swapped out the original....

Ghoste- Definately will put a 3:55 suregrip  in it.  Lots of things incorrect on this car. Even the jacks are wrong!
I should have looked closer to the trim tag, I see on the list the car is listed as Vitamin C orange.........

Wrong jacks?  That sucks, a Hemi wing car needs to have all the right stuff, its pedigree has earned the right.
