I have a '69 Camaro spoiler I want to mount on the front of my Charger. However I have no clue how it mounts. Frank (SFRT) explained it to me but I really need pictures to assist me more. Is there any chance someone could take pictures showing how the spoiler mounts? :popcrn: :cheers:

No, Eveyone is entitled to their or opinions as to what to do with their own cars. If you put that on the front. Next everyone is going to want to use a cowl hood too. I really hate that on Mopars.

yeah i'm kinda retarded on this topic too, i'm not sure what kind of bolts and nuts and thingymajigs i need in order to make it work. i got the spoiler for $20-25 and i think front spoilers look great on 68-74 chargers.
In my opinion, a front spoiler (more correctly, an air dam) is one of the few things that can be added to a second gen Charger (when done tastefully) that does not damage the design.
Late sixties Premier American muscle cars were an excellent, near perfect, (considering the state of the art) balance of design -vs- function. Chryco, Ford, AMC, or GM.
Yes, they built some ugly ones too, but the flagship models were stunning.
Some of mine, it's a good idea to use one of the rods that go with the spoiler for reinforcement, I learned that the hard way (this is my second spoiler).

hmm... that's not a bad idea. I have the original spoiler off of my Daytona replica - I may actually try and mount that on the '68.
It probably won't fit. The Daytona is flat on the bottom.

I'm thinking about putting a front air dam on in the future too. Though I'm not sure whether it should be black or painted to match the car. With black cars it's a no-brainer but what are other people doing? I see some people are dropping the bumper gaurds for a cleaner look also. I kind of like them.
Mine is black, car is silver with black vinyl and black stripe.
Not installed yet.

Mine is black on my Road Runner. I experimented with matching the body color and it was horrible. Then fooled around with brushed/flat aluminum and it looked even worse. Flat black works.

i have a front spoiler that was made for a charger. not a chevy camero. it fits side to side and wraps under the turn signals. fits and looks so much better than those chevy spoilers. found it on ebay. some guy in ariz. made of fiberglass. bolts right on in 20 minutes. had it for 3 years and no cracks. its the only one ive ever seen but would be easy to make.
If you can't be talked out of it, you might as well go for the gusto.

That piece fit only a 70 correctly. I bought it and had to send it back cause the guy "thought" it was one size fits all 3 years... F'ing WRONG. I lost money on that deal...
I currently have a fiberglass piece that was molded from an old MP piece that will fit a 68-9 ( or so I was told ). Somebody on this site pointed it out several years ago and jumped on it... well that was also a mistake. It would require some errr a LOT of TLC to fit correctly. Every time I looked at it and tried to figure out what to do I put it back in the packaging and say fudge it.
I put on a 69 Camaro spoiler that I got off ebay.
