repeat offender at BJ (also at Scottsdale 2017)
I believe this bird and a few others here were just recently in a Government seized aution (Apple Auctioneering Co.) a few months ago. Were seized from owners of bankrupt energy company DC Solar.
Nice color combo!
$130,900 with buyers fee figured in.
It was one of the cars formerly seized as mentioned above;
Wonder what it sold for when the gov't had the auction last year???

Ernie,
I think the flipper lost money?
The Barrett Jackson hammer price was $119,000.00.
When you deduct the sellers fee. My search shows 8% in this case $9,520.00!
Then you figure the time and moving the car from sale to home and then to the other sale and entry fee.
MJ
you are probably correct. i forgot about BJ double dipping on the fees, collecting from both buyer and seller
The seller did lose money. No doubt!
Auction co do not always take a fee from seller depending on seller and ability to close a deal. Certainly do not have to take the full fee either. But even so a risky venture.
So other than top change, were options correct on this one, including if it was an original V code car?

Barrett-Jackson always gets their fee unless it's a reserve auction which usually just a few cars at the Scottsdale auction only.
The fee is 7% of hammer price and they get between $600 and $1500 to get the spot for the car in the auction. This car is very rough and is originally B5 blue not petty blue. The body work and paint are very bad. This car was bought a few years ago at bj Scottsdale. It sold for good money then. I wonder why people keep paying top dollar for this car.
