G'day all,
just wondering......is it possible to get all the members of this forum sorted out into what model (year) cars everyone owns, and adding that link somewhere ? ???
If it's been done already, let me know, but what I mean is let's say I'd like to see what guys on here own 71's.......instead of looking through everyones nickname to see something that resembles some thing to do with 1971 Chargers, we could look at the list and see all the guys who are registered members that own 71 cars.
Does that make sense ? I'm not sure how hard that is to do, but I reckon it might be helpful for those trying to contact others with similar vehicles.
Peter :icon_smile_wink:
sounds like a good idea, I am sure Troy has (is) doing something or has thought about this already, just waiting for it to come to his priorities list. along with the 1,000 other things :D

I realise what I'm saying probably isn't an easy thing either. Just thought I'd throw it out there and see if there was any other interest.
Sorry if it makes work for the administrators.
This is a really good forum and that's just something I'd like to see. There's been heaps of times I've been interested in asking other 3rd Gen guys something, but you really have to track them down. The only other option is posting and hoping they manage to see it.
Imagine having all the years set out, and just clicking on a particular year to see who's got one. Ideally it would be done when people sign up.
Peter :icon_smile_cool:
Not a bad idea, I wouldnt mind having a look at something like that. I guess it would be alot of work for the admins though.

OK....so it's INCREDIBLY basic, but it's a start.....and will probably go nowhere anyway.
If you look at http://www.1962valiants.com/peter/forumcars.html I knocked up the simplest of tables with our cars listed. Ideally if it could be like the Register I have my our car club cars at http://www.1962valiants.com/register/list.html it'd be even better, but to be honest I think we should subscribe to K.I.S.S - Keep It Simple Stupid.
Really, all that's needed is a quick reference to who's got what on the forum without giving out too many personal details.

the Charger has the most thunder and torque pulls really, really hard from 0-110 then becomes floaty... too floaty for me to risk going any faster (ya'u think there will be the customary post following this one how some guy's '74 318 2 bbl. does 135 daily on the way to work..) :icon_smile_wink:
the Plymouth is really light on it's feet, kinda' nimble with great reflexes and more balance like a throwing knife it revs quicker and feels wider and lighter cause it is.. where as the Charger is more like a Broad Swoard or hammer... a very blunt insterment...
The 300 is more like a spaceship, it glides along seemingly on rails.
the v-6's 255 HP pulls well and is alot quieter with less vibration and will achive something close to 140 still with less drama then either of the other two cars..
i would be interested in getting all three of them to the quarter mile christmas tree just to see... :icon_smile_wink:
that sure would be fun! :yesnod:

Okay but nothing fancy here. But certainly glad to have what I have!! :yesnod:
71 Dart (being fixed up a little) started in 2004. So far we have installed a rebuilt 318 (still have the original on engine stand), upgraded to 4.5 disc on front and rebuilt the suspension, installed an 8 1/4 and rearched the springs, repainted under the car, installed new shocks, and had all the bodywork done and reinstall the glass. I already have the new seat covers, carpet and a few other things like a set of factory hood scoops, and rear wing to go on the car. But now waiting on the bodyshop to get caught up enough to paint it!!
Okay the 70 Duster. Already gathered a few parts need like console, bucket seats, extra hood, extra drivers door, fender top turn signals, good tail lights, and a 74 Duster parts car for the LBP disc swap and 8 1/4 rear. So pretty much have all I need to start on it except the floor shift steering column and a back seat.
The 73 Cuda. Just a 318 BS23 car. FY1 yellow with white interior and white side stripes. :drool5: Once again nothing special in the looks department, but I LOVE IT!!! :yesnod:
And my sentimental favorite!!! The 71 Satellite Sebring Pus. Less than 50k miles and wearing its original paint, hoses clamps and all. But the story behind it makes it my FAVORITE CAR!! :yesnod:
This pic was just before we changed the wheels and tires to load it for the trip home!
And the 74 Charger
And Dads Petty Blue 340 Dart Sport
The daily driver....93 Ram

A couple of other avitars show nudity.....maybe the little straps are clothing though? The dog one is just plain sick....throw some water on them unless it is condoned - throw a sheet over them!

G'day guys, :icon_smile_big:
all these cars have been added, including our very first 2006 Charger :2thumbs:
I actually thought of perhaps adding pictures of each car, but then common sense prevailed. Again, this is just a page where you can quickly see who owns what kind of Charger in case you ever want to contact someone with the same type of car.

G'day Mike,
I sometimes feel I'm wasting my time, but as long as people keep posting what thyey have I don't mind adding them to the list. I just bump it up myself every now and again to keep it alive. It's just that once I was after info from other guys that owned 71's and it was a real pain posting a random message and hoping they looked at it. I guess this way you can look up and contact someone straight away.
I'd love to get some pictures happening, but like I've said earlier.....a logistical nightmare.

(the guys at my shop say they can't tell which car's the fastest... :icon_smile_wink: )
Which one would you say is the fastest?
just rereading this post now, sorry i missed the question:
i suspect they are only a bit apart, the 300 has a higher top end speed, much more comfortable much less drama,.. feels like a space ship.
The road runner is well balanced off the line, turns pretty well but plenty of drama, the Thrermobog 850,.. Takes a huge gulp of air after a second and leaps ahead.. but tops out pretty early,.. and the Charger is like a Saturn IV rocket... but the 323 gears and one legger are holding it back... alot.. i hope to lose a second and a half with new gearing... and some additional tweaks.
horses for courses..
this will serve as a bump for our bud down under.. :yesnod:
