Title: Fender Tags - looking for decoding info
Post by: jarhead67 on March 09, 2017, 03:38:59 PM
I'm very close to buying a 68 (to replace my long lost 69).  I'm doing some research on the fender tag info.  Does anyone know where I can obtain some good (legitimate) help in this area?  Thanks guys!

If you are not familiar with fender tags and you are basing your purchase on the tag, I'd suggest posting a picture of the tag. There are plenty of bogus/bad/fake tags out there. Someone here will help you determine if it's legit or not and offer a decode.

Bad tags can still be decoded. It doesn't make them legit, correct or original.
