Post by: metcoll on February 17, 2024, 04:14:33 PM
Vehicle will be a street bruiser not a drag car..factory 440 block 10.5 compression otb 270 heads and trick flow intake 950 xp carb msd ignition comp solid roller 263/270 cam with 1.7 rockers isky roller lifters 2 inch headers made 696hp @ 5600 & 729 tq @ 4300..I know I am probably leaving 20 to 30 on the table compared to if I used a super victor intake & dominator carb..but want this to be a low rpm bruiser..

Maybe so on power, allthough those TF270 heads are pretty good.
I made 572 Wedge while ago with TF 270 heads and 10.3 compression(way too low but i did not chose those parts, just put it together),those big inchers sure like Dominators.I did run that engine on dyno with 4150 ans 4500 carb.Difference was something like 20-25horses.I will post spec sheet soon.

How do you get 541 cubes from a 440 block without a siamesed bore? How long is that stroke?
Is that a  .060 overbore and a 4.5 stroke?
