Title: 1969 Charger wiper motor crank arm
Post by: 69dc on October 25, 2016, 07:26:44 PM
Apparently the crank arm that attaches the wiper motor to the wiper linkage is different on an AC car vs a non-AC car. I need the one for an AC car so that the crank clears the top of the heater box.

I'll give her a call, thanks. It looks like the brackets are out of stock though.

There's different crank arms for different applications, but not different for AC vs non AC set ups.  A two speed crank arm can't be used with a three speed motor because one is a concentric motor and one is non concentric and that will lead to binding of the linkage because the bends in the crank arm are different because they operate differently.  For a mid 68-70 B Body application, the correct crank arm would have PN 2822273.  For an A body mid 68-70 the crank arm PN would be 2882272.     If you need some assist, feel free to call or email, we'll figure this one out    :-)

There is a difference in the output shaft size, large or small cog, but the small cog will fit all crank arm openings where the large cog output/gear latch shaft will only fit up to a 72 crank arm where the opening was smaller and won't fit the large output shaft.

Thanks for the info. I called Thursday and left a message. I haven't heard back from you yet. I'll try again Monday.
