Title: some cool numbers found on my 4 gear

I dusted of my tranny for my superbird and found these numbers.  Anyone know what they mean?

"676", the stenciled number, indicated a 1970 B-body 4-speed A833 assembly for use with 440/426 engines.

Are you asking about the stamped numbers on the VIN pad?

If you have an original broadcast sheet for the car, check line 4 under TRANS for 676.

If you have the fender tag, you'll also find the number stamped on the tag.
