Ok So I've asked about blowers. And SB engines. But Now... Im wondering if anyone knows the name of the brand for the burn notice chargers hood scoop? The Charger is a 73/74. Im thinking of making a hood scoop. More so a Burn Notice Charger Clone. But I kinda need to know what kinda hood scoop it is. How long is it. Where is it located on the hood. How high off the hood does it go. Ya know basic stuff. My search for my Charger is going closer to my goal. But I still need to learn some stuff first.
probably just a regular 6pak scoop molded on since you can see the lip going all the way around it, many fiberglass places sell them
yeah 69 & a half hood scoop :yesnod:

So do the make and sell just the scoop? So I could just weld it on a hood or what ever??
you can buy the scoop or theres a company that will make a complete fiberglass hood for any car . they just did a 70 coronet hood with a 6 pak scoop for a friend. but I would order the scoop. then you want to glue it to your hood. as it is fiberglass scoop.
A "Six-Pack hood scoop" (They came out in 69 1/2 year model) all will be fiberglass I think, I'm certain no steel ones, do a Google on it, lots of sources. :2thumbs:

IF ANYONE WANTS THE BEST QUALITY FIBERGLASS HOODS WWW.AARQUALITYFIBERGLASS.COM I PAINTED ONE OF THESE AND UNLIKE THE CHEAPO RACE PARTS THE FIT AND FINISH IS THE BEST IVE SEEN. UNDER BARRACUDA SCROOL DOWN-THEY HAVE A SEPERATE SIXPACK SCOOP YOU COULD GLUE TO ANY HOOD. THERES NOT THAT MANY PARTS LIKE UP-22 , BUT THEY ARE VERY VERY SUPERIOR, NOT ALL WAVY ,ALL I DID WAS SAND SEAL AND SHOOT A CHALLENGER HOOD.WELL WORTH THE PRICE AND VERY STRONG BOLT TO STOCK HINGES.
I want a finished pin on or bolt on hood. Im 15 and for me the easier the better. I've already looked there and didnt find anything for a 73 Charger.
www.vfnfiberglass.com they have the stock flat pin on fiberglass hood for 73 chargers. or bolt on and the power bulge hood too.
i'm looking for a 1970 style challenger T/A fiberglass hood the one with a single scoop in the middle of the hood for my 73 challenger wheres there best place to get it at i never really heard of anyone buying from any of these places so don't know how the quality would be anyone have pics of challengers or chargers with the single center scoop or cowl hoods installed?
www.aarqualityfiberglass.com has the t/a hood for 73. and theyre the straightest and best Fit out there.

Try the site i listed. And firebirdtoms site is limited on everything. you will end up building the fiber glass hood and the scoop. I mean gluing/putting it all together.
vfn fiberglass will build you any combination of hood you want. so you don't have to do it yourself. thats the place my friend had build him a 70 coronet hood with a sixpack scoop. so I would give them a call and tell them what you want. firebirdtom thats a good one LOL

i checked there website but they only have the stock hood or the R/T hood for a challenger. the up22.com T/A hood looks pretty good anyone ever deal with them hows there quality and fit? i don't want the scoop to start cracking around where it mounts to the hood after acouple months if its not good quality. does anyone have any pics of a challenger with a 6 pack scoop installed compaired to a T/A style hood and a cowl hood trying to decide which looks best. also anyone deal with usbody.com i'm looking at there trunk lid with T/A style spoiler molded on any thoughts?
I have dealt with all of them. and the stock t/a or aar hoods are wavy as from the factory they were painted flat black for a reason. the hood scoops are part of the hoods construction not an add on. so if they make any hood they are not going to come flying off. AARquality fiberglass is simply the best hoods out there, I would give them a call and see if they have another source for exactly what your looking for. I will say though if your going to paint the hood body color be prepared with the lightweight cheapo race parts to do major work to straighten out.
and on a hot day with the hood getting fried between the engine heat and the sun even though you spent 40 hours bondoing priming straightening the lihtweight parts they will eventually warp out. again call aarqualityfiberglass and pick their brains.
thanks firechickenbird tom
I bought mine from Stinger Fiberglass back in '01 but they don't display the scoop on their web page any more. I contacted Artie about a month ago and he told me they still can make and sell them upon request.
