Definitely...
To make things worse, the wiring clip shows that these were never in a Daytona to begin with. They're Valiant take-offs. It's a decent set, grant you, but Rene's right - marking them with "69 Daytona" increases their (perceived) marketing value.
:eyes:
Hey Stuart - do you want the old ones from my Daytona? I don't have them, but I can see if they're still laying around Vance's shop. They aren't
too crispy :D
yes i dont need perfect if they are useable i will buy them geno I want the cobwebs too !

That black wiring tab is not valiant either.

I dunno, 70's-era cobwebs can be pretty expensive. Just try finding NOS ones...
Hopefully I'll remember to look for those turnsignals on the 25th.

I was missing the plug for my (cudaken ) 69 charger turn light on the right front . So i had an extra bad engine wiring harnes laying around and snipped the pigtail off the distributor plug . Exact match worked like a charm

I had assumed it was standard equipment on the Valiant lights, since the black tabs were on the NOS lights I found (could be wrong, of course):
Another weird twist.I got my set from a valiant, no extra tabs.No evidence they ever had any.
I took them out of the grille so it's not like the seller did.
You know Gene if you keep bringing up all these little things you won't have any hair left. LOL

Iddnt that the truth...

Here's a diagram from the '69 parts book to help with the chin (and head) scratching... :scratchchin:
It could easily be a "assembly line" vs over the counter thing.Even a different supplier.

Very well could be.
The important part to note, is that a Daytona physically could not use the tabs. The tail/whip from the lamp would not reach the nosecone wiring harness if it were held in place with that tab. IMHO, any lamp with the tabs still in place had to have come from a Valiant -- although I'd never argue that
all Valiant lamps did have the tabs.
i bought a complete Valiant grill for $56.off of ebay . just for the parking lights . then i put the grill on ebay without the lights and got $146 for it. :smilielol:
timing is everything with ebay
You can find a deal on them knowing there also from a 69 valiant believe the part number was 293880-81 and they used a amber bulb.I used to get nos lenses and lamps. But if you find used ones and the sockets are rotted out.Standard auto parts has replacement sockets. But you have to shim them with something if you havent got the factory aluminum spacers
