Title: Amp meter is fluctuating back and forth while motor is running

My in dash ampere meter fluctuates back and forth when the car is running. It seems to get worse as the car warms up. The shop manual stares I have a high resistance connection in the field circuit. It states I should have less that .55 volts when the ignition key is turned on.  I have a full 2 volts. I have traced it back from the regulator to the battery and can't find it. Could it be in the alternator.

Did you check the wire before and after it goes through the fire wall ??

Clean the ALT. and bulkhead connections.  :scratchchin:

Better still change it for a voltmeter, those things cause fires

95% of electrical problems are from poor connections.

On a side note, just for comparison. If your WC gets cloged you unclog out the drains propperly. You don't bypass it or build a shitty room with a hole on your garden LOL.

Meaning with this: stil bypassing ammeter or making the amm-volt conversion, lines must be checked because will remain with same problem.

This is easier AND CHEAPER that it seems
