The hemi car would only have the Dana rear if it was a 4 speed? Nice car by the way.
Most Charger 500s I have seen have Dana 60 rear axles, the 440 automatic car that I owned had a 4.10 Dana 60 rear axle.
Curious as to why they took and dented the rear outside shell of the muffler.....to me the dent serves no purpose.....I would think that the "dent" would only be in the front end of the shell closest to the driveshaft.....
But, what do I know

Stock, HP mufflers. Have them on my 1970 - 383 Road Runner.
As far as the dents on both ends. I would speculate that the factory manufactured them that way to be more or less idiot proof, just in case someone installed them backwards.
Look at the location of the inlet & outlets on the muffler....you can't install them backwards
Without the dent in the rear, the muffler hits the park brake cables

and we have a winner.....I never thought to look at how close the sides came to the cables.....I was looking at the passenger side and not the driver side
Beautiful car, crappy battery
This car was restored in Topeka Kansas around 16 years back. I sold the owners a few parts. Cam broke at the rear of the block and also broke the trans at the top, they had it fixed. This car was coded for the W23 recall wheels. There is a old thread on this car I think. Was used to pull a race car at one time, When the Hemi broke they installed a 318 and at one point it hit a cow and was parked. :icon_smile_big: (Wingman) Jay.

The crappy battery is excusable right now. The sole supplier of restoration batteries (that I've been able to find at least) is continually 30-60 days or more backlogged, and has been for at least a year.
Very nice e car, but you have to deduct t 10 vrnad for a full green interior. ;)
F8 doesn't look too bad in the sunlight. :icon_smile_cool: :icon_smile_wink:

Yea, total deal breaker, the buyer would have to do a total restoration again to get the battery that would look good in it. I guess you don't know how to replace a battery
Its a joke bud.....learn to have a sense of humor :shruggy:
I see that this car just sold at BJ Palm Beach for $84700 including the commission. That car should have brought more in my opinion. I feel bad for the seller. Anyone know more?
