I saw this on Buffalo craiglist last month. What is she worth? More or less with the hemi as compared to original 440/6? I think he was asking $140k
Anyone know anything about this one-I'm real interested and am bidding, but when it gets much higher I need to stop and get more info. At $45k I'm willing to take a chance. Value I think (Hemi alone 15k), body 4-speed original probably 60-75 depending on whether those cracks are putty or paint. The body experts here can probably tell by looking

i wood realy appreciate it if people who are trying to sell $100:000 cars would atleast pretend that they spent more that three minutes awake in english class over their entire academic careers becuase while the car will sell to the rite buyer at the wright price it does the car no favors to describe it in such short terms with no real detail leaving out huge gaps about what people might want to see and also it makes you look really stoopid to not use any punctuation at all i mean come on you could atleast try and use spell check even if you have to put the thing into word or openoffice or something like that im not sure what to think of people who do that stuff i know i know more than most people about that stuff but atleast trying to sound like something smarter than a dodo bird would really help someone especially in business dont you think

I aint sir I is oned off um dat doos dat lol :2thumbs: Man your good, that is the longest sentence ever!! But I'm still wondering the value of this car. Is she worth less without original 440/6? Or hemi?
I am not a expert but the quarter panel does not line up even with the rear cap.
Some of the worst orange peel I have seen in paint.
If you can see it in photos I would hate to see the paint in person.

The Johnstown Pa is the REAL owner he has about 30 to 50 classic cars all different ones not just mopar has been a dealer for years
the New York auction has been cancelled it says due to error in listing
Was on the NY listing and decided to go to the "ask the seller a question" section. Here, I copied and pasted it:
Dear route16auto,
Can your explane this four me?

I didn't get an answer, I thought I was speaking their language. :shruggy:
The first auction says 'ended' and now this one is on there? What a screwy deal? Did he not get the $$ he wanted? I wouldn't walk away from this car, I'd run :smilielol: People are losing their minds these days........ ::)
The new ad makes no mention, nor does it have pictures of the paint issues. I was bidding until they pulled the New York ad, but am walking away-it smells like Acme.

they were both on at the same time...same car, different sellers, different locations....the seller from Penn cancelled all bids and ended the auction

Did you hear the car run or drive when you looked at it?
the ad has a few more pictures :yesnod:

riveted fender tag
In the picture of the fendertag, it looks like the fender and fenderwell are two different shades. The fenderwell looks like Alpine White, while the fender looks like the brighter "Hide all Bondo White" employed by used car lots in the 1980s.

Wouldn't they have had to change the K-member from the 440 to the 426? (or are they the same?)

if you want it to look factory correct yes
but is you dont care you can just use Schumacker mounts
That's what I thought, but I doubt Schumacher was around when the engine was changed out....I took it as the engine was swapped out in the 70's......unless I read it wrong
They also had elephant ears back then to add a hemi in.And john aruzza sold conversion motor mounts for 20 years
