The guy I bought the car from back in '89 used to pull his boat with it. Hard to believe. Hopefully he didn't dip the ass end down in the lake too much!
I just never took it off. I do have a couple 4 wheelers but my truck does the hauling these days.

*UPDATE*

I took it off yesterday and after 30 years of seeing it there everyone agrees it looks weird as heck.  :smilielol:

I am thinking about fitting one to my 73! I want to tow my drag car to the track with it. More of a nostalgic thing than anything else, plus its only a few minutes drive.

ACUDANUT

Use a towing vehicle that is twice that is twice it's weight.  Make sure your trailer has brakes.  :Twocents:

Pic I took at the 1975 Firecracker 400.
Petty won that race for the first time ever.

Petty qualified in 13th., the 180 range, and ran that speed all day. Other guys blew up and some ran slower.
Petty passed Bakers Ford close to the end. Buddy had slowed to 178 on the greasy track.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I think taking the magnums off and painting a set of wheels body color was a good choice.
I may be schizophrenic but at least I have us!
