I'm dissatisfied with my brake pressure so I want to hydroboost. Any brand better than the others?

Couple old threads to go through here. I'm going to do it in about a month or so I'll do a write up once its done. I'm going to peice together parts on my own versus buying a kit.
Hydroboost is hydroboost. I bought a used unit of an Astro Van, Mounting plate from Talon, and MC from Wilwood. Get a few lines and AN fittings and you'e good to go. Buying the whole kit is obviously easier but a bit pricier! I paid $50 for the booster and added another $35 for a rebuild kit. Better safe than sorry.
Thanks, everyone. I just ordered the Hydratech. I'll update the results here once I install it.
Did you get the hydroboost installed?
Yes. I installed it myself. The hardest part was mounting bolts through the firewall. Even removing the seat and laying on my back, it was brutal. Can't see, doing a lot by feel and the angles are tough but it's done. The rest was pretty straight forward. I immediately felt an improvement as they grab well now. A few days ago I was getting on it and ready to hit 4th gear when a Cadillac pulled out in front of me. I locked them up and it skidded well, nice and straight and held firm. I highly recommend.
It's good to hear that you like them, not good to hear about the Caddy pulling out in front of you though. I drive my car regularly, and examples like yours is one of the reasons I want hydroboost. I want my brakes to be as good and effortless as reasonably possible for those split second reactions, it can sometimes avoid a collision, or atleast get you slowed down enough to not be fatal hopefully. Thanks for the feedback. :2thumbs:
