This car caught my eye! What do you guys feel it's worth as a survivor?  :scratchchin:

RallyeMike

There is something about that color that is really familiar and appealing  :scratchchin:

Super cool. I have no idea of worth, but if I bought it I wouldn't touch a thing.

interesting it's a non-décor (A87) coupe, yet it has chrome B-pillar mouldings

also it originated as a non-A/C car, yet it has an A/C dash and then some ..... something tells me it's not as survivor as the current seller believes it is  :shruggy:

:shruggy: same car after the RH fender was painted "back-in-the-day" ??  :shruggy:  same tires ??  :shruggy:

looks like it could be the same !  passenger side front fender still looks off color today !

value depends how much someone wants it !  there is another supposedly unrestored roadrunner on ebay that's been on for a while with a BIN price & no takers !!  not sure if its as original as the advert suggests !  odd color combo  :shruggy:  may be why no selling at that price who knows !

Petty at Daytona, 1968 version.
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Looks like they ended the auction early. Too bad, it would have been interesting to see what it went for.

moparstuart

be interesting to know if this is one of 6   or how many actually were made  , with petty defecting to ford  this was a rare bird

and if you look at the firewall in that video this is def. an A/C car

GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

there were probably a couple hundred "Corporate Blue" (AKA "Petty Blue") 1969 Road Runners built
look at a PLYMOUTH sign, the "blue" is one of Plymouth's corporate identity colors

if you look at GG's document, it shows this specific car as 1 of 6 (or is it 1 of 7  :-\) "Petty Blue" Road Runner coupes (RM21) known by him & in his registry
and if you add up the totals of 1969 Road Runner coupes on the same document:
95 from LA ("9E") + 212 from Lynch Rd ("9A") + 330 from St. Louis ("9G") = 637 total 1969 RM21s accounted for

that's 637 cars out of 33,743 Road Runner coupes built for the 1969 model year ***** ONLY 1.9%  :o

there are more than 6,000 "SPECIAL ORDER PAINT" 1969 Road Runners - the majority of them being Rally Green, Omaha Orange, Bahama Yellow & Petty Blue
at the beginning of the year they were ordered in quantities of 50 by SoCal Plymouth Dealer Associations to avoid a "SPECIAL PAINT" surcharge
by mid-year Rally Green, Bahama Yellow & Vitamin C (replacing Omaha Orange) were "normal paint colors" at "No-Charge" across the country

A TON of great info here, thanks to a fellow member- http://brcook.com/id28.html

I guess the question is: What came first, Petty Blue or Corporate Blue??

:coolgleamA: :2thumbs:

Kudos for the seller actually getting Galien Govier to respond to him.

Yeah, what's his secret?

Waiving a credit card around is one of the ways to get his attention...just saying!

Lately I've heard people complaining that doesn't even work.  Maybe needs to be the "right" card too?
