Title: "Talladega" In Hot Rod Magazine
Post by: Aero426 on July 10, 2012, 05:05:34 PM
It is like a 1/1 scale Hot Wheels interpretation of a Talladega.   There are some styling cues I don't care for, but the fab work is off the hook.

Ain't that the truth, way out of my ability.  I like the rear end treatment and the Boss 429 powerplant.

Anything Rad Rides builds is down right amazing.

That car is going to fly.

the issue showed up yesterday.  The magazine got revamped and has a LOT more content than before...for the $10-15 a year you can get it for on Amazon it's worth having.

Kind of what I didn't care for in the "latest" issue,...looks overstuffed with useless pics and articles trying to capture too many reader's interests, kind of an amateur typesetting/editorioral attempt to cover all the bases.....

Granted Troy T's work is awesome, the Talladega just didn't  "make the cut" for me in the" visual department".......

Unbelievable metal work.  It may be a shame to actually put paint on it.

I also like what they are doing from a content standpoint.     The subscription rate is stupid cheap.

The craftsmanship is downright amazing and I'd love to have those metalworking skills, but the UBERDOLLAR  CNC BILLET ALUMINUM GRILL just says I have alot of money to piss away. He should stick with a stock grill and send me $25K and he could've saved a few bucks :D

Just an update on this car.  It's been painted and finished.  Looks  :drool5: in my book.

Great build.  I can only imagine what that thing is like performance wise.

As for the exterior, all that time and money spent to make that car look how it does now and it still doesn't compare to a stock 68 charger.

I'm not really a show car guy at all, I like to look at them but really not my thing... But... He won the $20K cash 1st prize & cool crystal trophy, in the inaugural Barrett Jackson Car Show in Reno @ Hot August Nights this year too, beat some serious competition, including worlds most beautiful Roadster winner & a couple of Great 8 cars too... It's freaken' bada$$, you really need to see this car in person, he's going to be taking it to Bonneville Speed week & run it all out too, I can totally respect what he does, they are works of art, they are engineering masterpieces... He's a true car builder & probably the most talented one I've ever had the pleasure to see his stuff & talk with, he's a great guy too... He's not just in it for the money, you should see the work that gets covered up, it's better than 99% of the so called top builders finished product is, that's not money that's pride in his product, that his name goes on & extreme talent

Saw a show on his crew working on one of his Riddler winners. They were bondoing and sanding the floor pan after which they finish painted and buffed it before covering it with carpet. :scratchchin:
