I just got a vinyl top for my '68 and noticed a couple odd things...one is that it's got a single seam down the middle rather than the two near the sides that I normally see. The other thing is that the top is freakin huge! (pic below). It actually looks like it'd fit fine after trimming off the excess...and would probably leave me enough to stitch together another top!.
Have any of you guys seen this before? Is this normal? I guess worst case I can use it as a car cover for the wife's toyota :P
what make is the top , thats no second generation charger i have ever seen ........... :popcrn:
The guy I got it from claims it's a legendary top but that's highly suspect...especially since the original box was conveniently lost. Looks more to me like some kind of generic 'one size fits all after trimming' setup or maybe something made for a C-body.
yeah gentric one fits all :yesnod:
i would not stick that on dude if i were you :rotz: .. you might regret it :yesnod: lot of agro to change it . ..... have got all mine from yearone they were made by a company called keetops. really good top :Twocents:
The top is way wrong...... as stated above Dont use it!! :Twocents:
Doesn't look right to me. :Twocents:
Can you get your money back for it? If not, I hope you didn't pay a lot for it.
if it is a legendary top, there would be a tag on the inside that says legendary interiors. Def. not the correct top for your car. I got a legendary top off of ebay for $120 brand new, the seller stocks them, I just cant remember who it was.
I can't imagine it being a Legendary one, don't they deal strictly in correct appearing stuff?
