Title: Off to the body shop for round 1...
Post by: Midnight_Rider on October 27, 2017, 03:31:49 PM
Helped load the 71 RR up this morning before work & waved goodbye to it for now. Off she goes for quarters & rust repair around the trunk opening.

I'll try to do as much grunt work as I can on the rest of the body when it comes back, but since I've never done any prior to installing the floor pans, I wanted the 'foundation' of the car as right as possible. Especially since there's damage on the passenger side to the panel with the door striker on it, and it needs a donor piece to replace it (looking for one if anyone knows where it might be had -- and maybe a trunk lid).

Guess I'll start tearing the 440 down while it's gone so I can get the block checked out.
