OK now that I have you C500 owners attention, sorry no group hug :nana: but I have a request (not mine, but another member) what's this in the yellow arrow?, appears to be a decal or a tag?, I'm sure the owner of this pic knows? any help would be appreciated...TIA

think im way off on this ! :coocoo: my first thought its one of them magnetic spare car key holder thingys mounted side on , & the white bit behind it, is a metal spacer or something to locate the holder in correct position to be reached when bumper & grill on etc :shruggy: a 60s or 70s version of the below
Now, all the restored 500s will be sporting the RARE OPTIONAL SPARE KEY HOLDER!!
Yes it's the spare key holder from Allen's 500 :2thumbs: He found it when he was taking the car apart, before the restoration

But did it have any extra keys in it?
Cool ole Allen... Keys.. :2thumbs:
Curious as to how one would get to the hidden magnetic key holder while the grille was in place??
Bryan
I found a spare set of keys for my Cuda taped to the wiring harness with black tape. Whoever did it, did a great job. I had owned the car for more than 25 years and had never seen the wide spot in the harness till I had it out and was cleaning it in the kitchen sink.

Doesn't seem a practical way to get at a hide-a-key.
Let's see, I lost or forgot my key but I always have tools on me to take the headlamp bezel off... ::) :icon_smile_big:

I was just answering the situation that was played out already. If you're one to put it there, then make sure you have a small screwdriver in the console or glove box..
....Ok...and how would you get to the console or glove box without key?!
I have a Charger 500!

That's the problem of the owner, who put the key box behind the bezel to begin with..... Or just borrow one !!! Put a screwdriver on the battery tray or something... There are plenty of places to put a screwdriver under the hood......
I used to put mine on the inside of the front valance near the parking light and it was still there when I did the car over. :Twocents:
Here y'all go -
Forget the spare keys I have a more important question.
Why is the radiator support panel ALL BLUE???
Where's the black-out gone?

Probably was repainted sometime in the car's life.....
