Title: Superbird rear brake questions
Post by: chaaargerb on December 06, 2017, 07:56:48 AM
I am looking for any info on the rear brake drums on my Sbird. My car has the Dana 60 and 15 inch Rally wheels. Should it have 11 or 10 inch drums and are the drums finned or smooth? Also I'm guessing they should be painted red for the rally rim option. Any links or help would be great.
Thanks :2thumbs:

Yes.
Here are pics showing how the red was applied on my car.....it totally varies car by car.

I can see the brushed on look any idea of the color red? Kinda looks like R4.

Was my impression from discussions here in the past and what I went with was Duplicolor Ford Red engine enamel. I sprayed it, vs the "correct" assembly line brush swipe and then cleared the entire drum to keep it from rusting as quickly.

Yes - always brushed on. Frank Badalson sells the correct paint.
