Did you ask Mancini? They are pretty good.  :scratchchin:

Engine, Transmission, Rearend, & Exhaust / Flow Kooler pump.
Last post by will - June 24, 2025, 03:21:37 PM
I have an SD Concepts serpentine belt system, and it has the water pump rotating counterclockwise. Is it possible to run the flow Kooler pump with this setup? The vanes appear to be straight, and I was hoping to get more coolant flow. I have reached out to Flow Kooler via email and phone calls and haven't heard anything, that's why I figured I would ask here. Mancini Racing shows it to be clockwise rotation, does anyone have any real-world experience with ccw rotation? Thank you.

I originally asked on moparts, but nobody responded. Hopefully you guys can

QuoteFor as much as I love these classics, I could not stand to leave mine stock.
A 318 does not make enough power, Drum brakes don't stop good enough, AM radios don't sound that good, 14" tires don't look that good or perform that well.

Stock is fun in small doses.  I'm glad people are preserving them but wouldn't want to put a lot of miles on a stocker these days.  It's pretty far out of line with modern traffic/world conditions.

It also depends on the car.  Chargers were always known for performance.  It clashes with expectations when a Charger can barely keep up with a modern minivan.  If it was a nice slant-6 Plymouth Valiant then nobody would mind.

IMO measuring a classic restomod against modern hi-po cars is kind of pointless, though.  Modern stuff is stupid-fast.  They rely on big wide sticky tires & electronic driver aids to achieve it in the real world.  The performance stats are mainly for magazine bragging rights.  If you put the owners of those cars on a real racetrack with no electronics, most of them would struggle to handle a modern Toyota Camry.

:scope: my bad, I thought I saw multiple holes in the bar in the 2nd picture

I got it to 6 degrees with stock arms, offset bushings and spacers between the lower ball joints and knuckles. I'm now at 8 degrees of caster, 1 degree of negative camber, 1/8" toe IN. Steering returns to center quite well!

I converted my '64 to dual reservoir master cylinder and radial tires.  I converted my '69 Chargers to radial tires and disc brakes.

Even the cops fight tooth and nail to prevent having to wear body cams.  If they're doing nothing wrong, what do they have to worry about?
