Just waiting on the exhaust and tq converter now!  :icon_smile_approve:

Here's a couple quick pix from the ol' camera phone:

For you purists, pardon the incorrect master cylinder and the Car Quest battery.

Guess there still a couple other bits in there that need to be done. :D

Thanks to Ron and Tom for all their motivation and putting up with my endless questions.

Also much thanks to Neil for his tech tips.

Hell, same goes to anyone who listened or gave their input.

It's been over 4 months now, but I should have the "70 back within a couple weeks.

Just in time for the local car show. :2thumbs:

EXCITEMENT CITY!  Won't be long now.  :icon_smile_tongue: :drool5: :yesnod:

Wall to wall torque, smokin' em from a 30 mph roll, hitting second and they just keep boilin', hittin' the gas at 70 and getting nailed to the seat :yesnod:.......it's insane, and that's just a routine trip to the car wash yesterday. :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_cool:
........and then you wonder what it would do at W.O.T.?? :scratchchin: :boogie: :drive:

Gotta like that factory look.

Well, finally ended up deciding on my converter, so I thought I'd post the engine/drivetrain specs I have on hand now:

Engine:

496 stroker kit from 440source.com
9.7:1 CR
Iron heads match ported & polished (original to car)
2.18 & 1.88 valves (w/ 3 angle valve job)
284/292 split duration grind Crane hydraulic cam w/ .509/.528 lift
Crane adjustable roller rockers
Eddy iron 6-pack intake (original to car)
ProMax billet outboard metering plates
Blaster II coil
MSD 8.5 wires
Champion plugs
Milodon HV aluminum water pump and stat
Carter mechanical fuel pump

Trans:

727 rebuilt to Hemi specs
Oiling system upgraded
Hi-cap pan
2800 stall PTC converter (thanks Ron!)

Exhaust:

TTI 2" ceramic coated headers
TTI 3" exhaust w/ X-pipe
Dynomax mufflers
TTI tips

Rearend:

Rebuilt clutch style Suregrip w/ 3:23s

Rear Tires:

BFG 275/60/15 (28")

The bob weight of the rotating assembly came out to 2264 grm.

Is that pretty standard?

I know the lighter the internals are the faster the motor will wind up, so I'm curious to know.

Can't wait for the exhaust to arrive and get installed so we can dial the 6-pack in! :METAL:
