I saw the guys and gals at the Omaha Mopar show today. I talked with the owner of the wagon and the white Chrysler. Sorry I didn't get to meet Stuart but I did meet his son.
The wagon WAS very cool and the other car I thought was nice to see was the two tone Coronet wagon you can see in the background of one of the pictures

:popcrn: You know the Oz museum was ok and when your from the kansas area the Oz jokes get pretty old
When I think of wamego kansas I think of the birthplace of Walter P. Chrysler , the city wouldnt allow us as a group to have a photo opp at the house he was born in , so i took it upon my self to get a photo of my car at the house .
:popcrn: the sad thing is while they have moved the house and put new window and roof on and taken care of the place . There is no Bronze plaque stating what the house is or no sign at all . The only way you know its his home is a faint picture of him on the door . But no name under the picture or anything . Then they put the stupid witch leggs and ruby slippers under the one side of the house so most people assume its the house from the wizard of OZ . :icon_smile_blackeye: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :flame: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:

:drool5: :drool5: :drool5: well minor hitch , russ was driving behind ron in the front brown 69 charger and he kept seeing smoke coming out from behind him. It kept getting worse so he finally kept flashing his lights at him and flagged him down ,.
:drool5: well we figured out it was the trans fluid leaking onto the exhaust . the trans wasnt slipping yet so we limped it on into marysville .
only in rural america
:drool5: :drool5:
:2thumbs: police station
:popcrn:
We found a little repair shop and goodyear store , they were super nice and let ron pull his charger into the bay and check out the leak .
we were here to see the pony express museum and post
:popcrn: russ showed me his rare and highly sought after gas lid prop tool , he says it stays in place and never falls off :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:
well several of us waited with ron and didnt make it to the pony express museum so sorry I can not elaborate on what was there ,. Everyone i talked to that went said it was a great place .
Well it was a front main seal bad on the tranny of rons charger , we debated limping it on the last 30 miles to beatrice nebraska . He instead called his son who was kind enough to offer to load up one of there other many cars and come bring it to them . Then he could load the charger and head back home .
Well with them set to wait another 2 and 1/2 hours for there son to come bring them a car just a couple people stayed and the rest of us headed for nebraska .
off the 30 mile trip to our first nights hotel in beatrice nebraska

kent and terri (green challenger convertible ) have been going on the cruise all 5 years and they live here in beatrice . Thus the reason we are in nebraska this year .
they took us back to there house to check out some of there cars and kents small toys too and to sit and shoot the breeze .
kent 72 challenger freshly restored just a couple years ago , he was going to take this car on the cruise again but his tubular upper controll arm with only 1 k on them had wore out the bushings already .
He had to order new bushing because they wouldnt warranty them or replace them .
:popcrn: back to the hotel , long day I was worn out . DAY 1 is in the books :D

:popcrn: well we had some free time and slowly tracked down why my headlights would not go down . Quintin and I started looking and russ was bored and joined in . We looked at the switch and the vacuum hose up behind the dash . Russ tried to electricute him self there was a flasher floating around shooting off sparkes when he hit it on the dash frame . We had plenty of vaccuum at the brake boost and plenty of vaccuum at the large cannister under the battery tray . There was no vacuum gettin up to the switch . So i hand traced the line coming out of the cannister that headed to the dash switch and sure enough it was pinched under the battery tray . I think it must have been pinched when the new steering gear box was being replace over the winter . So they work now but still bleed off after about an hour of sitting with the motor turned off. We traced that down to the acctuator pod behind each headlight door I guess i will need to send them off for a rebuild .
:popcrn: then we were still bored so we started looking for a vacuum leak at the carberators and clean the carbon out of the six pack. We found that the fitting for the vacuum advance on the center carb was completely loose and sucking air . so we bent it out to fit tighter and siliconed it up . No more sucking air .
Nice pics brother :2thumbs:

:drool5:well either the top radiator hose blew off and made the fan belt throw , or the fan belt broke and hit the upper radiator hose making it come off.
Either way i ewas missing one belt and had coolant everywhere , So we were lucky I had an extra FAN BELT IN THE TRUNK and the top rad hose just slid off so it went right back on .
All and all it was painless and we were only on the side of the road a 1/2 hour .
thanks to matt for the gallon of water and thanks to mike for flagging big trucks to move over and not blow us away when trying to fix it
we were very lucky it could have been much worse
