Title: 68 Exhaust Hangars
Post by: Rudderguy on September 27, 2019, 03:26:50 PM
Hey Everyone,

I have search a bit and really can't find a resolution to my answer

I have seen 2 styles of exhaust hangars to get. A double strap and a single strap style. Which one is correct for a 68RT? I have both styles sitting here so just want to use the correct one.

Also what is the correct original style finish...bare metal look or black oxide/painted style?

Thanks

Rudderguy

I made hangers to mimic the originals.

For the 440/Hemi applications, it should be the double loop style.  I have several sets of NOS hangers and they were all bare metal as stamped.  The belting material does vary between different hangers as it was basically remnants of what looks like tire sidewall material.  ECS is working on bringing a very correct hanger to the market place.
