I seriously considered painting mine black but decided Plum "Crazy" was more appropriate at the time. Mine is currently wingless and in the process of being stripped and repainted.  Hard to believe where the last 17 years with it went.

...after I decided on the project, I realized there were several others convertibles already done and was surprised no one had opted for black

...there was one other color combo considered, but that might be another project someday
