Title: Edelbrock intake clearance issues with bulge hood?
Post by: Fitz73Chrgr on September 09, 2017, 11:12:57 PM
We've got an Edelbrock intake that is 1-1/2" taller than a standard 340 intake that is slated to go on the 408 stoker we're putting in the '73.

Will this cause clearance issues with a '73 bulge hood?

Thanks for the help!

I am pretty sure you will be able to make it work, no experience with your exact combo but I run the RPM manifold on a 440 in a 71 with a bulge hood and it clears.

Thanks for the reply.  What air cleaner do you use?

I run a 3" filter on a 3/4" drop base with a 1/2" spacer under the carb, I have 3/4" between the top of the cleaner and the hood.
