After a year and three months, the body is no longer an eye sore. I did all the metal and body work myself. I had a shop spray the color, and they will also be wet sanding and buffing it. The color is off the 2008 Viper; Snake Skin Green. Really happy with how it turned out. The color came out great.
That color is going to make a pretty bold statement. I like it in the pics and I bet it's really something to behold in sunlight.
Man That's Stunning!!! That'll even stand out next to the Sublime Cars... Awsome! :drool5:
:2thumbs: awesome!!! I LOVE that color!!!
Jason

Wow great job!! Cant wait to see her finished. Any ideas on the wheel/tire combo?

THAT IS AMAZING!!!! I really like it!
:drool5: :drool5: :drool5:

This link is for the roll cage that I fabbed up for it - http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,47369.0.html
A couple more pics as well. If you'all would like to see more, especially some of the before pics, l'll start a new thread that will cover the whole project. Thanks for all the great comments. The pictures don't do the color justice, the metallic gives it a lot of 'pop'.
The rims and tires I'm looking at are the Billet Specialties Street Lites, 15" (no big rims here). I'm planning on having them powder coated black. I mini tubbed the car, so the rears will have 15" meat. I'm leaning towards Mickey Tompson S/R's for the tires.
This looks amazing..... :o I've been thinking of a color like this when it comes time to repaint my 3rd gen. I like the FJ6 Green it has now, but something similar with a little metalflake or pearl in it would be something I'd really like.

Lookin real good for sure!!!! Do the Street Lites come in different offsets? I'm, considering them for our 64 cuda.
looks very nice, I like it more than sublime for sure. Has lots of metallic on it. Good job on body work!
Are you saying bye-bye to the wipers? see you've welded up all the holes in the firewall too. :scratchchin:
nice paint!
WOW! very nice :2thumbs:
awesome

Not to sure about the offset for the street lite rims. They have a website that has all the specs.

Yep, no more wipers, wiper motor, and the holes in the engine bay are all gone, except for the ones I need. This thing is gonna be a street/strip war machine.
I love that color :drool5:
Awesome color  I love that on the new Viper and your Charger. :2thumbs:
AWESOME colour!!!!!! :drool5: :drool5:
Like it, love it , want some more pic's of it. Of course when it is farther along. Keep them coming. :2thumbs:
some more for y'all
That thing looks bad A$$..... :2thumbs:
Thats a nice color, probably has lots of pearl in it. Not sure a car can be street legal with no wipers, Dont think the DOT would approve. LEON.

I know here in ND, you do need to have functional wipers to be street legal...... Depends on the cop..... :icon_smile_blackeye:
Yeah , You better be careful to avoid all of the "road block wiper checks" that the DOT performs. ::)

hahha, I dont think you get pulled over for it. But you know if MR. Cop is having a bad day and with THAT car, he will get noticed...... Then again, depends on the cop.
T
It's the kind of thing you'd get popped for in Ontario. The paint on that car would likely blind any officer enough he wouldn't be able to spot the wiperless detail though. :D
what kind of paint was that? was there different stages?
:drool5: Love the color!
that car would look sick with a c-500 grille :drool5: n prolly cut a little weight off too not being anywhere as heavy as the hideaway head light grille :2thumbs: :coolgleamA:
Ha, you want to talk about a heavy hideaway grille? Pick up a 1st gen one sometime.

wipers...I live in Pheonix, I don't think the cops are too concerned about wipers. The dude would have to be having a real bad day to care. Yeah, I'll keep a look out for those "wiper check road blocks" :smilielol:.

The paint was PPG. Nothing special, base and clear.

I love the hide-aways to much to replace it with a 500 grille. The fiberglass hood shaved a ton of wieght off the front end, so the extra weight savings wouldn't be worth it to me.
More pictures!
Man, oh, man... that is looking SO GOOD!

Sorry guys, no jet ski, just my cousins dirt bike.
As far as the chrome, yep, black is the new chrome. I had all these good parts with bad chrome. Instead of paying an arm and a leg to get new stuff/rechrome, I decided to powder coat it black. The vent frame and door window stainless is black. Most of the stainless however will stay chrome, and will be polished up, so I'll have some black and some shine where appropriate. :coolgleamA:
Definitely different....close up pics please

AHHH, now i see it
You know I'm not a fan of green (wait a minute my Charger is green), but that is completely AWESOME! I love that color, the dealership that I work for has been trying to get a Viper that color, but Chrysler won't let them have one, were not special enough to get that color,(snicker :hah: snicker) That is a gorgeous car, good luck on the rest of the project from a fellow Arizona Charger owner. :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
Oh, yeah, that jet ski! :coolgleamA: I stare at that everyday for at least a minute, or more...
Yep, some close up stuff for ya. I'll post more as I progress.
I love those blackout door handles and fuel filler!!! Its awesome :2thumbs:
Any updates? :drool5:
That color rocks, car looks great!
the red script on the fuel filler looks good too!!

Hey, Where did you get your hood from. It looks like it fits really good.
Heres a thread about the hood.
