Title: Good or bad on 07 Dakota?
Post by: b5blue on November 04, 2019, 03:29:07 PM
I'm looking at a 2007 V6 auto/A/C extra cab 2WD with 130K miles. Anyone know much about this type critter? The plan is light duty low miles per year use. I looked up recalls, nothing much.  :shruggy:

No major issues really. except rust in the rust belt areas.

But that should be a  3.7. V6

I personally dont care for the timing chain / water pump design in these and Ive heard the 4.7  likes to eat head gaskets, not aware if the 3.7 suffers the same  issues or not

I may be looking for a clean pickup here soon. I was originally only looking for a Ram 1500,,,,,,,but am leaning towards a clean Dakota instead. But I will probably seek out a clean older model club cab with the 3.9 or MAYBE a 5.2 truck
