No, but it is similar. No disrespect intended to the owner of the purple car I posted pictures of, but Jerry's car is MUCH nicer. Dave/nascarxx29 posted a link to the Winged Warriors website that shows several pictures of Jerry's car.
The car I saw in Jeff City has a custom nosecone on it, which has several curves and lines to it that makes the nose look odd to me. Jim/3--Daytona spoke to the owner for a while at JeffCity, but I never got the chance to speak to him. The pictures I swiped were from a for-sale ad from earlier this year (IIRC). I don't remember what he paid, but it was a fairly substantial amount (for a clone). The car is by no means a junkpile, but it is not my taste.
:Twocents:
Here are a couple of better shots of the nosecone so you can see what I'm referring to:
The front end reminds me of KNIGHT RIDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How much did he pay for that ?????????????????????????????
Somthings up with the front nose cone of this daytona. Look at the second picture at the top of this post. Notice the headlight buckets are more rounded on the edges? These are more square shaped headlight buckets. Also the nose is more dipped in around the headlight buckets. It's kind of hard to explain. Anyway, I don't think this is Jerry's car, looks like something else.
Let me help you out , this front end looks nothing like a correct daytona nose !!!!!!!!!!! I should know Ive been sanding and fitting my nosecone for 3 months !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Getting back to a color , that plum crazy is one hell of a color!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plum crazy , white tail
Isn't that '70 purple car the one Rob Wolf had an article about in this month's MCG about how the guy that bought it was ripprd off into believing it was a real '70 Daytona?
yep
I didn't know that a snow plow was an option !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
look how flat the nosecone is on top. definately a home made job. i'm having a hard time picking a color for mine. rite now i'm thinking about sassy grass green with a black tail and black hood inserts but that'll change again. Rene
In 1 of the 2 links. I think it was aerowarriors .There was links to all articles written by MCG about all the aclaimed 70 daytonas
Its the only decision that can make or break a car
???
not to mention the Fenderscoops..
I really would like to know what that car sold for !

I recall seeing a superbird at a show with IL plates DRMOPAR .It was really a 70-383 road runner .But was painted purple and had every superbird detail.Wonde if the same guy in IL built that purple daytona
Dave what month was that 70 in mcg ?
The newest one November 2006 the one with Chip Foose on the cover with his Challanger.
Thanks
Larry,
That full article was in a much earlier issue. They just had a small mention of a 70 car in this latest issue.

This 70 daytona was built in the 80-s and it had used a real 500 back glass. The propsed to exist 70 daytonas had regular backwindows. This car was also a G assembly plant as 70 chargers are .Not daytona was ever built out of ST Louis .But MI a different story as known as creative industries

Those top 2 pics look familiar.....
How about these I found.......

I see they used the mid 80's "Dodge" "Daytona" emblems off of those 2.2 crap boxes....well at least they only had 2 doors.

Oh man ... in 1988 I sold a 69 Coronet 500 and bought a black 85 Daytona Turbo Z. There...I admitted it. ::)
Oh yeah...my 85 Daytona was a PILE! I want to publicly apoligize for that trade. :'(
(Sorry for the brief hijack)
You are forgiven .
