Title: Yellow Bird in yard in Oakland Southern California
Post by: bannedbird on January 24, 2020, 10:04:43 PM
Freshly restored Yellow Superbird 440-4 that was in a yard in Oakland CA for 25 years.  Link is to current video of the recently restored car.

Not sure if anyone on this forum owns or knows this car.  Maybe pictures of it sitting in the yard are someplace on this forum?  It was a "car of the week" at the 12/28/2019 "South OC Cars and Coffee" event (OC = Orange County).

Anyway, nice looking car so thought I would post.  I'll try to get the VIN and more details if the car is there tomorrow.

I was hoping that someone would remember this car and link to the thread.  Can't believe that, if it was in a yard for 25 years no one posted a picture of it here.

I'll be at the OC (Orange County) show this weekend and hopefully he will eb there with the Bird.  Then I will get more details, and maybe pictures pre-resto.

Foggy morning in So Cal today.  Still, hundreds of cars at the show, only saw (2) 1970's Mopars.  No wing car.  So I've got a cold trail at this point.

Anyone on this forum go to that show?

I go every once and awhile. I'll ask around I bet I can find out the info and any pics. I live not too far from there.

Thanks for checking.  Surprised a "yard find" Superbird isn't known on this site.  Once we find out more info, we can get the facts.

No winged cars at Cars and Coffee today (2/8/2020).  Only a nice 1969 roadrunner to represent 1960 - 1974 Mopars.  About 499 other cars.
Still looking to find out more information on this yellow 'Bird's story. Thx
