Title: Alternator noise at idle
Post by: comet_666 on August 19, 2016, 06:03:22 PM
I have the 100 AMP Tuff Stuff 8509DSP alternator. It was fine until today, I drove around for awhile, and heard a high pitched noise. Got home and opened the hood and it seems like its coming from the alternator. When I give it gas it goes away. I re tightened the belt but no love.

Thoughts?

...could do what my buddy always suggested in this case;  "turn up the radio!"
