We hear the words "Holy Grail" a lot on the old Chargers. A Hemi, 4-speed Daytona in red is literally the holiest of the grail. It will be interesting to watch and wish.
:drool5: :drool5: one of these days - maybe it will find some wheel lip mouldings :shruggy: :drool5:

was checking over what I had posted , with saved pictures on my computer , realised I had posted the wrong engine bay shot :slap: , came back on here to remove it , before it had been spotted ! too late, sorry for the confusion guys
With those hubcaps reminds me of the former Dave Jones car. But me thinks his was an auto. And last I heard of that one it was in Chatham NJ
Along with an A4 silver hemi 500
Not sure I would classify this on MY grail list. ,,,,,,,, MY list contains mostly drop tops .
But i wouldn't mind having it though. Shame its WAAAAAAAAY out of my budget .

it was in the blue with yellow paint scheme at the 1983 Car Craft Street Machine Nationals in Springfield, Illinois.
There was a small hand written note in the right rear window that said
"no she's not finished, but at least the bitch is here"
i took a photo of that note, but no clue where it has gotten off to over the years
the car was restored by julius. here are some other photos of it that i have saved over the years
...
Restorations by Julius has done a number of Daytonas, your pictures ...27, ...29 & ...30 are not this HEMI Daytona
thanks for the others!! :2thumbs:
thanks, i removed those three. i believe they were of the mike ross car, and were in the wrong file folder
so does the current owner win or lose on the purchase price from 2016, assuming it hasn't changed hands in between?

Correct me if wrong, but not correct clutch fan for 4spd car? Disc brakes are a one piece? What where restorers using to replace the Bendix front disc rotor? I feel lucky to have originals on mine, plus a backup set of hubs and marginal rotors, plus the repop rotor only to go with a hub set.
Let's see here. Hemi check
4 speed check
Daytona check
V2 nope it's R4. Ok I guess that will be ok.
Bank account balance, nope that ones short too

If I remember, that "X'd" out engine pic above was from a C500 that was parked next to it at a show somewhere

Yes - that's an aftermarket clutch fan.
